£170,000 buy after a point win and looked a good prospect when landing a Wetherby bumper in March, travelling strongly and no more than pushed out to make sure. Likely to be hard to beat on hurdle debut.

Fairly useful 1m Flat winner for this yard but does stay 1¼m. Capable of playing a part if taking to hurdling at the first time of asking.

Fair Flat winner at best but has struggled this year and the chances are he'll be up against it again now hurdling.

Has hinted at ability but looks more one for handicaps down the line. One of 3 runners from his stable.

Half-brother to bumper/23f hurdle winner Sheila Nash. Dam unraced from a good family. Betting should help guide to expectations on debut.

Modest Flat winner. 40/1, pulled up on Bangor hurdle debut in January. Off since. Likely best watched.

Fairly useful on the Flat (stays 1¾m), including 2 AW wins this year. However, he was only sixth on sole hurdle start way back in 2018. Hard to know what to expect.

Fairly useful on Flat (stays 11f) in Ireland for Johnny Murtagh. Bought for 40,000 gns in October 2021. It's taken a bit of time for his new stable to get him to the track but he would enter the reckoning if the betting speaks in his favour.

Timeform
Smart handicapper on the Flat for Mark Johnston earlier in his career but has achieved barely modest form in 2 hurdle starts for new yard since returning from a long absence. Possibly more one for handicaps after this.

12:55 Market Rasen - 10 November 2022 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

CHASING FIRE created a very good impression when landing a Wetherby bumper in March and will likely take a bit of stopping on this hurdle debut. It's taken a bit of time for Sassified to make it back to the track for his hurdle debut but he showed fairly useful form on the Flat in Ireland and could be the one to give the selection most to do, particularly if there's strength behind him in the betting. Dandy Maestro is another who switches to hurdles after reaching a decent level on the Flat.
