Paxtons No.1 For Kverneland Machinery & Spares Wishing Well Handicap Chase

Looked about as good as ever under a cool ride when scoring at Doncaster (3m) on final start last season. Has won fresh so couldn't be dismissed on return under good conditional.

Dual chase winner in France and, after a couple of spins over hurdles, opened his account for current yard in good style back over fences at Sedgefield in March. Raised 7 lb but he could have more to offer for this stable. Contender if primed after 8 months off.

No more than averagely treated on balance but did sign off in the spring with a couple of respectable efforts. Could be other days for him.

In fine form during the spring, bagging handicap chases at Hexham (3m) and Market Rasen. Creditable return over hurdles at the former track 4 weeks ago and worth a look back chasing.

Enjoyed a splendid first season over fences, completing a course hat-trick here over further, and picked up where he left off with victory at Hexham 4 weeks ago. This is tougher up 7 lb but he must demand respect.

Fairly useful hurdles winner and similar form over fences in 3 runs at the end of last year, not jumping too great the last twice. Could have more to offer if improving in that department and has won at Kelso on his return for the last 2 seasons.

Made a fine start over fences last term, winning his first 3 races in novice handicaps (including here) and beaten by some well-treated rivals after. Can go well again on return.

Back to winning ways in C&D handicap chase in May but has struggled since and will find easier openings.
