Though yet to get his head in front where it matters, RUSSIAN VIRTUE has dipped to an attractive mark and he kept on well when third over 10.2f here on his penultimate start, which was just his second run on the all-weather. He predictably found 1m too sharp in a Class 2 handicap at Redcar next time and this trip may well prove ideal. Stella Barclay fields a couple of strong candidates in Cloch Nua and Balqaa (feared most in that order of preference), while Cleveleys is also of interest.
