Well-bred colt was strong in betting but shaped as if needing experience when sixth of 11 in minor event at Yarmouth (8f, good) on debut 17 days ago, not ideally placed. Should improve.
Off the mark at the second attempt when winning 8-runner maiden at Yarmouth (9.1f, good, 40/1) 29 days ago by short head from Havanazam. Very much had run of race there, and more probably needed under a penalty.
Green but very much caught eye when fourth of 9 in maiden at Brighton (8f, good to soft) on debut 8 days ago, making significant late gains as penny dropped. More to come.
Foaled May 3. €3,360 yearling, Le Havre gelding. Half-brother to 1¼m-1½m winner Liberated Lad and 1m winner Rouge Et Noir. Dam unraced half-sister to very smart winner up to 10.5f Ocovango. Cheap yearling but has reasonably promising middle-distance pedigree.
Promising type. 10/3, short-head second of 8 to Dance Havana in maiden at Yarmouth (9.1f, good) 29 days ago, conceding first run. Arguably shaped better than the re-opposing winner there and is a leading player with improvement expected.
Twice-raced maiden. Nailed on the line after battling to front when second of 6 in minor event at Beverley (8.4f, good) 22 days ago. May well do better still.
A decent contest, with ARTISAND perhaps open to the most improvement after putting in eye-catching late work on his debut. Silk Bird, Havanazam and Lordship also look likely to progress and are interesting players.
