Disappointed when down the field on nursery debut at York but he quickly got back on track when making all at Epsom (7f, good) a fortnight ago. Further progress likely and a 6 lb rise may not be enough to prevent him from following up with William Buick doing the steering.

Despite the small field, this is very competitive. Preference is for SOLUTRE, who made it third time lucky in a Newcastle maiden when last seen in July and has been handed what looks a fair mark given that there's real substance to his form. Benacre put his York disappointment firmly behind him when making all at Epsom and he's a big threat, as is Eminency on the back of his good effort in a valuable event at Doncaster last month.
