DARK CRUSADE left his debut effort well behind when a close third in a Catterick maiden and, with the possibility of better to come, he could be the answer. Lady Jane Grey made a successful start on turf at Lingfield in May and wasn't beaten far back from a break on polytrack there last month. She is second choice, for all that she'll be taking a step into the unknown ground-wise if the forecast rain arrives. Thankuappreciate, a ready winner at Ripon recently, is also feared.
