Finished runner-up in all-weather Vase Mile at Lingfield back in April and deservedly off the mark for this yard at Musselburgh (7f) in June. Shaped as if still in good form both starts on turf since and he's an each-way player from handy draw.

Returned from a lengthy absence better than ever, runner-up over C&D prior to tasting success at Leicester (8.2f) in June. Creditable seventh in 22-runner John Smith's Cup the following month and likely this has been his target since (record stands at 2-3 over C&D). Headgear back on.

Course winner who is being kept busy this year, gaining a fifth success at Newmarket (1m) in August, just holding on. Creditable third (despite going in snatches) at Ripon (1m) 5 days ago but a little more needed if he's to defy present mark.

Capitalised on sliding mark to register a facile success at Carlisle (9f) in August and confirmed he's better than ever when defying 7 lb higher mark at Wolverhampton (8.6f) 12 days later. Respectable sixth at Sandown (1m) latest but revised mark demands more.

3-time C&D winner earlier in career and back to winning ways for new yard this summer, landing back-to-back 1m handicaps at Newbury/Ascot. Stayed on late to finish midfield in 16-runner Goodwood handicap (9f) 5 weeks ago and good pace to aim at here will suit.

Sound start for present yard, landing 10f handicap here prior to an excellent second in the Lincoln Trial at Wolverhampton (8.6f) in March. Some solid efforts in defeat thereafter (below best in June) but no surprise to see a better showing on back of a break/from handy draw.

Completed an impressive 4-timer last year and while yet to open her account this term she is in good form, flashing tail/hung right final 50 yds when caught post over 9f at Sandown 13 days ago. Fitting of cheekpieces may well help now.

6-time C&D winner who cashed in off lower turf mark at Newmarket (1m) in July, leading final 1f and keeping on well. Beaten only by a progressive 3-y-o in 3-runner contest back at that venue since and fancied to give a good account from handy draw.

Made a fairly low-key return during the spring but aided by drop in grade when back to winning ways over C&D in June, Hard to knock pair of in-the-frame efforts that have followed but he's yet to win from a mark this high.

C&D maiden winner at 2 yrs who has stepped up again in handicaps this term, taking 5-runner event at Newbury (1m) in July (from dual subsequent scorer). Not seen to best effect since and she may yet have more to offer.

Two wins from 4 starts as a juvenile, latterly a C&D nursery in October. Fared better than previously this year (granted run of the race) when third behind re-opposing My Mate Ted over C&D 18 days ago but she needs to pull out a little more.

Low-mileage colt who showed promise when second sole start as a 2-y-o and readily surpassed previous exploits this term when taking 6-runner C&D handicap 18 days ago (Moon Island placed third) and 4 lb higher mark shouldn't prevent another good showing.

Showed improved form to get off the mark in a C&D handicap in May, joined over 1f out but proving game. Largely consistent without adding to his tally on turf more recently but has the widest draw to deal with here.

Typical improving 3-y-o for this yard, making it 3 wins from last 4 starts over C&D 26 days ago, deserving extra credit having been hampered 2f out. This is tougher but he's clearly thriving.

Unsurprisingly a whole host in with a shout and it could just be worth siding with Mick Appleby's BALDOMERO. His form on all-weather earlier this year reads well and, given a break since a lesser effort at Newcastle in June, it would come as no surprise to see a much better showing from a handy draw with his rider taking off 5 lb. First View, who is 2-3 over C&D, has returned better than ever and is a big threat, along with 3-y-o's My Mate Ted and Morgan Fairy.
