Proved better than ever back on the AW when scoring at Kempton (12f) in June. Ran at least as well in defeat upped in grade at Newcastle next start but lacked a turn of foot when third in a similar event over 10.2f here last month. Back up in trip but looks vulnerable to younger legs.

Frustrating last season but it all came together with wins at Leicester (1¼m) and over C&D this spring. Has continued in good form on all 3 subsequent starts but this represents a step up in grade.

Bolted up on her sole start at 2yrs and took a step forward when runner-up in a listed event on return at Newbury in June. Made the most of a good opportunity to take her tally to 2-3 at Kempton just over 6 weeks ago and she remains open to improvement.

Golden Horn filly who made a very taking debut to brush aside with ease a couple who had already shown decent form at Wolverhampton just under 3 weeks ago. Upped to listed level on just her second start but she looks potentially very useful and is sure to improve.

Smart filly in the making who followed up her impressive Ascot debut win in 4-runner novice at Newmarket in June. Well backed but proved to be a disappointment stepped up in grade when fourth of 6 in listed race at this course (10.2f) last month but it remains early days.

Golden Horn filly who beat a couple of subsequent winners when making a winning debut in novice at this track (1m) last autumn. Unable to land a blow in pattern company on return and ran to a similar level in a listed contest at Newbury since. Others preferred.

Going the right way, edging out another promising filly at Haydock (11.5f) in June before showing quite a bit of improvement when scoring on handicap debut at Newmarket later that month, having the run of the race. Dettori in the plate for the first time and she's likely to progress further.

Already a three-time winner this season and was possibly unlucky not to make it 4 when runner-up at Ascot 12 days ago, having to regain her momentum after suffering from some scrimmaging turning in. Yard won this contest last year and she merits serious consideration.

Out of a winning sister to the high-class Time Test and left her debut run trailing in its wake when a smooth winner at Newmarket in May. Unable concede 6 lb to Mimikyu at Haydock in June but she's a beautifully-bred filly and it's doubtful that she's done improving yet.

Shaped with plenty of promise in a couple of back-end maidens last year and improved to win a 1¼m maiden on the Rowley Course on her reappearance in April. Off 10 weeks but made a winning start in handicaps on the July course last time and she's sure to go on improving.

16:10 York - 18 August 2022 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A fairly deep renewal of this listed event in which GOLDEN LYRA gets the verdict to go one better than on her first try at this level and take her tally to 3-4 in the process. William Haggas' charge looks destined for better things and this race could provide the perfect stepping stone to pattern level. Haskoy falls into the 'could be anything' category after an impressive 7-length debut success so she heads up the dangers, ahead of Supagirl and Mimikyu, in a race packed with potential.
