Tattersalls Sovereign Stakes (Group 3)

Won Spring Cup at Newbury in April and listed race at Windsor in May (both 1m). Creditable runner-up efforts in Epsom Group 3 and another Windsor listed event in June. Not at best when third in Pontefract listed last time but still the one to beat here.

Very useful handicapper who gained his first win since the 2020 John Smith's Cup when seeing off 10 rivals at Sandown (1m) last month. Easy to ignore subsequent run in Golden Mile at Goodwood and doesn't have much to find at this level.

Built on his excellent third in the Royal Hunt Cup when resuming winning ways back at Ascot last month. Comfortably held by Modern News on Windsor running in the spring but he's in better form now.

Won the Coventry at 2 and showed he's trained on well with 3 good runs to start his 3-y-o campaign. Does need to shrug off a lesser effort in Glorious Goodwood Group 3 latest, though.
