First-time blinkers seemingly worked the oracle as he showed much improved form to get off the mark at Uttoxeter in April. Similar form in defeat on his last couple of outings so he's one for the shortlist with yard in excellent nick.

Landed a gamble in good style on first run for yard at Fontwell last month and fair efforts in defeat the last twice, latest when runner-up at Cartmel back in handicap company just over a fortnight ago. Place claims yet again.

Modest at best on the Flat but better over hurdles, finishing second here before going one better at Hexham (2½m) last month. Confirmed that improvement when runner-up back here just over a fortnight ago and he's one to look out for upped in trip on handicap debut.

More miss than hit for previous connections in Ireland, but was second between the flags in May and recently went one better back hurdling at this track (20.6f, good) on debut for Micky Hammond. Unlucky not to make it 2-2 for this yard at Worcester 17 days ago and well worth another chance.

Showed first form upped in trip/fitted with a hood when fifth in a 19.7f maiden at Hereford in early April but looked unsuited by the step back in trip after 3 months off at Worcester last time. New trip tried for this handicap debut and market check advised.

Fair form at best over hurdles for Charlie Mann, but offered little starting out for this yard after 14 months off at Newcastle in March and possibly still needed the run after a further 3 months at Worcester 6 weeks ago. Difficult to assess at present.

Reacted positively to cheekpieces when winning handicap at Catterick (25f) on New Year's Day. Well held last 4 starts though, labouring a fair way out at Southwell earlier this month and hopes pinned on a return to the smaller obstacles.

Forecasts

Landen Calling (11/4), Mac Suibhne (11/4), Belles Benefit (9/2), Jack Thunder (9/2), Belvedere Blast (7/1), Cheating Jack (10/1), Charming Getaway (16/1), Martalmix'jac (25/1), Tumbling Dice (28/1)

15:20 Market Rasen - 31 July 2022 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

First-time blinkers worked wonders for LANDEN CALLING when he opened his account at Uttoxeter in April, and having posted a couple of solid efforts in defeat there since, he's fancied to notch career victory number 2 with his yard continuing to rack up the winners. Mac Suibhne is clearly a different animal for his new yard so he gets the nod for second, with Belvedere Blast completing the shortlist.
