Bagged handicap chases at Uttoxeter and Perth over this trip last July. However, there were few positives to take from her reappearance effort at the former track last month, for all that the run may have been needed following eight months off.

Doubled hurdles tally when taking a Wetherby handicap (21.2f) in October. Wasn't disgraced on latest start in that sphere at Uttoxeter in May, but improvement needed now switched to the larger obstacles.

Fair hurdler who found just one too good in a Sedgefield maiden in December. Has failed to build on that since, though, and he was safely held on his sole previous start in this sphere at Market Rasen.

Winner over fences in France back in 2018, but he has so far failed to deliver on this side of the Channel, both in this sphere and over hurdles.

Back-to-back winner over fences at Market Rasen in July 2018, but hasn't got his head in front since and others make more appeal here, for all that he has edged down to an attractive enough mark.

Winner of 2½m handicaps at Uttoxeter and Warwick on first two starts over fences in September. Put a couple of poor efforts behind him when going close at Market Rasen (19.2f, good to firm) last time and should make his presence felt once again.

Yet to strike on these shores, but he was no stranger to success when trained in France (10-time winner) and didn't do a great deal wrong when runner-up off this mark at Stratford (17f, good) on Sunday. Proven over this far and should be in the mix if he goes to post.

The most appealing of these is MISTER SWEETS, who shaped encouragingly on his chase debut over an inadequate trip at Ffos Las. He can be expected to take a step forward moving back up in distance here. Dindin put in a good shift when runner-up at Stratford on Sunday, just five days after also acquitting himself well at Uttoxeter. If connections opt for another quick turnaround the 9-y-o could prove the main danger, though Pens Man is also accorded respect.
