ALVEDISTON has yet to taste success following eight attempts, but he returned to form when finishing third off a 1 lb higher mark at Newmarket recently and he could be the answer to this open-looking handicap. Persian Royal wasn't beaten far at Kempton last time and is feared with Harry Davies in the hot-seat, while the hat-trick seeking Darbucks and Bungley are others to consider.
