Narrow winner of a three-runner affair at Ffos Las last summer. Creditable efforts in Dubai earlier this year and returns from a break on an attractive mark, so he's certainly one to consider.

Cashed in off a reduced mark when resuming winning ways at Newmarket in September. Creditable third in 14-runner Newcastle handicap (6f) on final start of 2021 and each-way chance if fully tuned-up for this assignment.

Now 8 lb lower than for his latest win at Yarmouth last April, but there have been few positives to glean from his efforts so far this season and revival needed here starting out for new yard with a tongue strap enlisted.

Dual AW winner who is still seeking his first taste of success on turf. Still, he is fully effective under these conditions and is in with a shout here following an encouraging reappearance effort at York (6f, good to firm) a fortnight ago.

Southwell winner in February and stepped up on that when runner-up in first-time blinkers over this C&D three starts back. Decent sixth of 16 off this mark at Pontefract (6f, good) recently and he's not without hope in an open-looking race.

Shaped well on debut in December and placed in novice events over this C&D and at Nottingham (6f, good) where he was narrowly outpointed by Hebrides (winner again since). Mark for this handicap bow looks fair and he's high on the shortlist.

Has dipped to a potentially handy mark, but hasn't shown much spark in three starts so far this season and it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Successful at Wetherby in April but not in the same form since and while he's down to an attractive mark (2 lb lower than for this Wetherby win), others look stronger on this occasion.

Now 1 lb lower than for his Bath success last June and performed respectably when fifth of 10 at Nottingham (5f, good) recently. Step back up to 6f won't be an issue and possibilities off this 2 lb lower mark.

Forecasts

Hiya Maite (2/1), Abu Malek (5/2), Recall The Show (7/2), Desert Doctor (5/1), Admirality (13/2), Temple Bruer (12/1), Pockley (14/1), Politics (16/1), Equiano Springs (18/1), Dazzling Dan (18/1)

19:00 Doncaster - 25 June 2022 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

HIYA MAITE pulled clear of the rest when touched off at Nottingham last time and he is appealing off what looks a fair mark for this handicap debut. Abu Malek is also considered now pitched into a handicap, but a bigger threat could be posed by Desert Doctor, who acquitted himself well off higher marks than this in Dubai earlier in the year. Pockley is also worth a second look.
