Successful twice in this sphere in 2018 and winner of back-to-back points last month. First past the post in 25.5f hunter chase here latest (subsequently disqualified owing to weight cloth falling off) and one to consider back hurdling off a workable mark.

Improved to win 2m handicap hurdle at Musselburgh in January and good second at Doncaster next time. However, well held back from a break here last month and by no means certain that this step back up in trip is what he wants.

Off the mark in 2½m handicap here in April 2021 and, following an unsuccessful stint over fences, he resumed in this sphere with a decent effort at Hexham (23.3f, good to soft) last month. Couldn't rule out.

Dual winner for Tom Gretton last year and arguably posted his best effort yet for present connections when third to Appreciate at Newton Abbot (16.8f, good) a fortnight ago. That form has been boosted since and he's high on the shortlist.

Winner of two of her three starts since joining Gillian Boanas, proving 11 lengths too strong for subsequent winner Well Educated over C&D last time. Up 9 lb for that, but she's clearly at the top of her game and another big run is on the cards.

Just one piece of worthwhile form for previous yard and beaten a long way in a first-time tongue strap (retained here) at Stratford (18.7f, good) recently. Couldn't be sure that this stiffer test will bring about improvement.

Improved efforts over hurdles since blinkered/switched to handicaps, placed twice over 20.5f at Southwell during the spring. Stamina seemingly stretched upped to 24.3f there last time and worth a second look eased in trip here on debut for new yard.

Back in the winning groove on second start following a wind op when striking over this C&D (good to soft) at the end of last month. 3 lb rise fair enough and should be in the mix.

Just the one win from 28 starts over hurdles, namely an Aintree handicap back in June 2019, and it's best to look elsewhere.

Forecasts

On We Go (6/4), Bagan (10/3), Grageelagh Girl (7/2), Dan Gun (7/1), Shaws Bridge (11/1), Ange Endormi (20/1), The Steward (28/1), Prince Of Bad Lins (40/1), Ballyfarsoon (50/1), Rip Rocks Paddy Ok (125/1), L'Es Fremantle (150/1)

13:55 Cartmel - 24 June 2022 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

ON WE GO was a thoroughly decisive winner from the front over C&D last month, form which received a boost when the runner-up scored at Hexham recently, and a 9 lb rise may not be enough to prevent this mare from going in again. Next on the list is Bagan, who was third to the progressive Appreciate at Newton Abbot and he is now 1 lb lower. Grageelagh Girl also merits respect, along with Dan Gun.
