Foaled April 8. €70,000 yearling, Oasis Dream colt. Dam 1½m winner in France. Yard can ready a newcomer and the market should offer clues with regard to expectations.

Twice-raced maiden. 16/1, sixth of 10 in minor event at Newbury (6.5f, good) 14 days ago. Likely to pick up a race before long, but he's up against two promising once-raced colts and two interesting newcomers here.

Once-raced maiden. Third of 8 in minor event at Haydock (7f, good to soft, 13/2) on debut 15 days ago. The winner of that race didn't do much for the form at Royal Ascot last week, but this colt is clearly promising.

The form of the Haydock novice in which SOLUTRE was third on debut and the one Naval Power landed on his introduction at Yarmouth were handed blows in the Chesham at Royal Ascot. The colts in question are promising nonetheless, though, and, unless one of the newcomers turn out to be above-average, they're likely to emerge as the main players. Naval Power is greatly respected but he may struggle to concede weight to Solutre, who is marginally preferred. Nomaas could be the pick of the debutants.
