Failed to meet expectations when well backed at Warwick on New Year's Eve but improved to get off the mark after 3 months off at Chepstow last time, his strength at the finish suggesting it'll hardly be surprising if he does better again. Up 11 lb and should be bang there.

Lightly-raced 6-y-o who bounced back to form after 4 months off when third at Chepstow last month, proving his stamina for the trip in the process. Nudged up 1 lb and there's a slight concern whether he'll be able to hold things together.

Successful twice over hurdles upon joining present stable, latterly at Cartmel in July. Returned to form with cheekpieces refitted when third at Newcastle last month but stamina concerns remain kept to this trip.

Off the mark at fourth attempt over timber on handicap debut at Sedgefield in September. However, both subsequent efforts were underwhelming so a leap of faith is required to support him on reappearance.

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat but has offered little in a trio of starts over hurdles, latest at Bangor back in November. Yard are in better order and he should make more of an impact now handicapping. Visor applied and has been gelded since last seen.

Hit-and-miss since scoring over fences at Huntingdon in November 2020 and, while he returned to the smaller obstacles with a good second in a seller at Exeter recently, he's not certain to back it up.

Still a maiden, and below-form fifth of 10 in handicap hurdle at Stratford (22f) just under 6 weeks ago. Others more persuasive.

Fairly useful Flat winner who left previous hurdle form behind when scoring in first-time tongue strap at this track (23.1f) in December. Not so good since, but did take a step back in the right direction when sixth at Warwick in February (lost a shoe). May well feature back at this venue.

Yet to register a victory and recent efforts hardly offer much encouragement that that is about to change. Mark continues to fall as a result.

Offered something to work on sole bumper outing for Neil Mulholland, but efforts over hurdles for new yard leave him with plenty to find. Makes handicap bow/reappearance.

Dual hurdles winner who failed to progress over fences for Phil Middleton. Offered little on first start for his new yard after an absence at Southwell a fortnight ago and needs the reapplied cheekpieces to work miracles.

Placed at this course/Leicester on her final 2 starts for Barry Leavy but has gone with no promise for this yard, reapplication of blinkers failing to spark her up at Sedgefield last month. Easy to look elsewhere.

Several in with chances but top-weight BENITO showed improved form to get off the mark after 3 months off at Chepstow last month, his strength at the finish suggesting he can do better still. He's taken to follow up and defy a hefty 11 lb rise in the weights. High Grounds scored at this track in December, and after taking a step back in the right direction at Warwick a couple of months ago, he could provide the main danger, ahead of Forever Forward.
