Not so good in 1m AW events in October, his top connections then taking a big hit as he was sold for just 10,000 gns (£525,000 buy as a 2-y-o). Tongue tie left off on return and surely best watched for now.

Improved from debut when winning 9-runner novice at Southwell (6.1f, 11/2) on return 20 days ago, responding well. Probably going to need more again under penalty in this stronger heat.

From a good family and not unbacked on debut over C&D 11 days ago but needed the experience behind Lir Speciale. Should improve, but might be one for down the line.

Lethal Force gelding. Dam, 2-y-o 6f winner, half-sister to smart 5f/6f winner Orpen Grey. Yard can ready them and interesting to note any market support.

£14,000 yearling, £65,000 2-y-o, Prince of Lir colt. Half-brother to winner up to 7f Napanook. Easy to back but shaped with plenty of encouragement despite seemingly lacking something in sharpness in similar C&D event 11 days ago, staying on well. Leading claims for last year's winning stable.

Well backed and made a promising start when second of 10 in maiden at Sandown (5f, good to soft) on debut in September, finishing strongly. Not seen since but should improve if all is well.

Muhaarar filly. Half-sister to 3 winners, including very smart 5f/6f winner Maarek and useful 6f-1m winner Mississippi. Dam 6f winner (including at 2 yrs). Interesting to see how she goes in the betting for top yard.

An interesting-looking novice that can go to Roger Varian again, with LIR SPECIALE making stacks of appeal after a promising start over C&D a fortnight ago. He was motoring at the finish then and looks sure to improve. Desert Team can kick on also if all is well after an encouraging run at Sandown in September. Archiano and Rubylina are appealing newcomers on paper.
