WONDERWALL, a useful performer in bumpers, shaped well sent hurdling when runner-up at Newbury last month and would likely have gone even closer had he not made a hash of the last. He's taken to get the better of City Chief, a promising type in his own right, and Irish-bumper winner Watergrange Jack, who merits respect now going hurdling for a new stable.
