In the frame both starts in bumpers and experience of his hurdles debut fourth at Ascot (19.3f) last month won't be wasted on him. Still, several of these make greater appeal.

Closely related to fairly useful hurdler Lilly Pedlar and landed an Irish maiden point at the second attempt in May. Should have a future under Rules, but this is a tough starting point.

Didn't show enough in a handful of appearances between the flags to suggest that he'll be a force on Rules debut in a race of this nature.

Showed much more than he did on hurdles debut when finding just one too strong in 2½m Uttoxeter maiden hurdle latest. Should pick up a race before long, but there'll be easier opportunities than this.

Promise in bumpers at Southwell and Huntingdon last season. Ability is clearly there and may well make his mark over hurdles, but this is a warm race in which to make his debut in this sphere.

Point/bumper winner who was turned over when odds on for last month's hurdles debut at Lingfield (19.5f). However, it's likely that he will come on for that and he remains a decent prospect.

Promising debut when third in 2½m Aintree novice won by Hillcrest (winner again since) last month, around 3 lengths adrift of the runner-up Our Jet, who renews rivalry here. Open to improvement.

Debut fourth in a 14-runner Chepstow maiden hurdle in October wasn't devoid of promise, but a big step forward will be needed if he's to play a prominent role in this contest.

Off the mark at the fourth attempt in bumpers at Ballinrobe in August, but backward step at the same course next time and he's passed over on this hurdles debut for new yard.

Dual bumper winner here in 2018 and shaped well on hurdles bow back from a layoff at Newbury (16.3f) in February. However, turned over at skinny odds the next twice and more needed now upped in trip.

Third on sole outing in Irish points and very positive start under Rules when narrowly outpointed by a potentially useful type in 2½m Aintree novice. Tongue strap added and he's a big player.

Point winner who showed fairly useful form when landing bumper on Rules debut in December 2019. Encouraging third on hurdles bow back from a 23-month absence at Exeter (21.6f) and should improve.

Showed ability when fifth at Ffos Las on the first of 2 starts in bumpers, but there were very few positives to glean from his hurdles debut effort at Kempton when last seen in March.

Third on his completed start in Irish points and in good hands now that he embarks on a career under Rules. However, pitched into a pretty warm race for this hurdles debut. Has undergone a wind op.

Didn't shape badly when fifth in a 12-runner Newton Abbot bumper on debut in April, but he'll need to leave that form well behind if he's to make an impact now switched to hurdles. Cheekpieces added.

12:50 Warwick - 9 December 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

There should be races to be won with OUR JET and Limetree Boy, both of whom shaped well when second and third respectively in the Aintree novice won by the potentially useful Hillcrest. Dan Skelton's charge was around 3 lengths ahead of Limetree Boy that day and is taken to confirm his superiority here. Picanha also enters calculations and Kyntara should leave his hurdles debut behind in time.

  1. OUR JET (IRE)
  2. LIMETREE BOY (IRE)
  3. PICANHA
