Not knocked about on debut at Thirsk (1m) and much shorter in the betting when improving on that and a good second back there over 7f last week, prominent and taking keen hold. Can do better again.

Forecasts

Wakey Wakey (5/6), Themoonsaballoon (5/1), Marquis Of York (17/2), Approachability (10/1), Lituus (12/1), Testing Faith (20/1), Total Master (20/1), Graffiti (25/1), Prince Achille (33/1), Night Street (50/1), Easy With Aces (66/1), Gibside (80/1)

16:40 Pontefract - 23 September 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

WAKEY WAKEY wasn't unfancied in the betting when second at Thirsk last week, taking a big step forward from his debut run there. His effort can be marked up given he raced freely and he makes plenty of appeal over this stiffer trip. Marquis of York can improve again also and is respected, while Approachability looks the pick of the newcomers on paper.

  1. WAKEY WAKEY (IRE)
  2. MARQUIS OF YORK
  3. APPROACHABILITY
