Useful hurdler who has taken well to fences, making it 2-3 in this sphere when landing a 3-runner C&D novice. Needs to pull out more off this mark now handicapping, but he's feared nonetheless.

Progressive since joining Fergal O'Brien, making it 3 wins from 4 starts for this yard when scoring over C&D last month. 5 lb rise fair enough and he probably has more to offer.

Bounced back in no uncertain terms to capitalise on a reduced mark over C&D in July. However, this 7 lb higher mark proved too much when third to Bathiva back here in first-time cheekpieces next time.

Back from a fourth wind op in excellent form over hurdles, successful here in June. Below par returned to this sphere next 2 starts, but will be dangerous if allowed to dominate back down in trip.

Finally opened chase account at Stratford last month and subsequently followed up over this C&D, despite being 2 lb out of the handicap. This is more demanding, but she's merits respect all the same.

While all five of these have a chance, there's little doubt that BATHIVA and Pisgah Pike possess the most appealing profiles. The latter is the least exposed over fences and he isn't passed over lightly, but Bathiva is clearly on an upward curve and is taken to enhance his already impressive strike rate in this sphere. Admiral's Sunset is bidding for the hat-trick and also needs considering.
