Much improved from 2-y-o debut when ploughing through the mud to land extended 1m Windsor fillies' maiden but wasn't in the same form on quicker ground at Chester next time. Others are more appealing.

Firmly on the up and overcame difficulties to score at Newmarket last time. Strong pace will suit, and he's clearly the one to beat bidding for a hat-trick.

Good efforts to hit the frame on two of three starts this year but he's vulnerable to less exposed rivals.

Marked improvement since switched to handicaps, readily scoring twice at Carlisle. Something to spare again last time and longer trip looks sure to suit, so he's a player.

Fairly useful colt who has run with credit the last twice but doesn't appear to have a great deal in hand of his present mark.

Won first 2 starts in handicaps and has shaped as if still in good form when placed both subsequent starts, third to Wink of An Eye at Newmarket 15 days ago. Unlikely to turn the tables.

9/1, respectable fifth of 10 in handicap at York (11.8f, good) 38 days ago, met some trouble. Consistent sort but much more exposed than the bulk of his rivals.

Lightly-raced winner who arrives on the back of a lesser effort at Salisbury. Hard to make a case for in a race as competitive as this.

Lightly-raced filly who improved for a switch to handicaps when second at Nottingham last time. Still looked a bit green under pressure that day, so no surprise if she takes another step forward.

Progressive sort who overcame a slow start to score with plenty in hand at Yarmouth 24 days ago. This is clearly more competitive but he's probably still ahead of the handicapper.

17:15 Sandown - 3 July 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

WINK OF AN EYE landed the odds in good style at Haydock last month and overcame unfavourable circumstance to follow up at Newmarket eight days later. He found plenty to lead that day and is almost certainly still ahead of his mark following a 4 lb rise in the weights. Pure Bubbles looks a danger under Ryan Moore, as does Helm Rock..

  1. WINK OF AN EYE
  2. PURE BUBBLES (GER)
  3. HELM ROCK
