Placed off higher marks than this in 2020 and posted another solid effort when beaten just under 2 lengths in to fifth at York (7f) earlier this month. Handy draw to work from and possibilities.

Course winner who regained winning thread at Southwell (7f) in April and ran with credit next 3 starts. Drop back to 5f possibly inconvenienced him at Sandown since and better showing not ruled out.

Won Kempton handicap for Simon & Ed Crisford last autumn. Low-key start for new yard but bit more like it despite finishing twelfth of 16 at York recently. One to monitor in the betting.

Back on scoresheet on return at Catterick (7f) in April. Mixed bag since, and whilst he ran well when third at Thirsk (7f) 10 days ago, his wide draw here doesn't make things easy.

Consistent for this yard since turn of the year, off the mark at Southwell (7f) in February. Placed at that venue next 2 starts but does need to shrug off a lesser effort at Newmarket last time.

Winless last season but produced 3 solid efforts from 5 starts this time around, second in 5-runner handicap at Chepstow (7f) 2 weeks ago. Another with a wide draw to overcome, though.

Gained fourth win of a very productive 2019 in 6f handicap here in September of that year but seen only once last term for Richard Fahey and he may just need this on return for new yard.

Debut winner last year who ran well in handicaps on first 2 starts this term, runner-up at York (7f) in May. Not in same form back there 10 days on but given time since and better showing anticipated.

Dual winner as a juvenile and performed with credit on 3 of his 4 starts this term, albeit only fifth over this trip at Musselburgh 3 weeks ago having missed the break. Still, not discounted.

Losing run now stands at 16 and whilst he stepped up on his reappearance run when fifth of 11 over 10f here recently, he looked a shade hesitant late on. Fitting of a visor may help now.

Signed off time for Robert Cowell with success at Newcastle (6f) in October 2019. No show in 3 starts last summer but signs of a revival over 6f here on return 2 weeks ago. Wide draw to contend with.

Lightly-raced maiden who ran best race when second in a 7f Wolverhampton maiden in March. Not built on that since, his effort rather laboured over 1m at Haydock in April. Given a break since.

NORTHERN EXPRESS wasn't at his best when last seen at York in May but he's been given a short break since and, having previously highlighted he's on a workable mark when runner-up over this trip at that venue, he's fancied to get back on track equipped with a first-time hood. Shawaamekh arrives in good order and is feared, ahead of Praxeology and King of Tonga.
