Seventh of 10 in handicap (25/1) at Goodwood (8f, soft) 32 days ago, doing too much too soon. Booking of Dettori an obvious plus, but yet to show that he has trained on.

8/1, respectable sixth of 10 in handicap at Windsor (8.1f, good) 22 days ago, better placed than most. First-time blinkers need to help eke out a bit more if he's to emerge on top.

19:00 Newbury - 22 June 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The vote goes to FAST MOON, who stepped up on what he showed for Mark Johnston as a 2-y-o when third to Shuv H'Penny King (winner again since) on return/handicap debut for new connections at Wolverhampton. Dropping back to 7f looks a good move and he gets the nod ahead of Typical Man, for whom there were excuses at Windsor, and Deputy, who is also likely to benefit from this drop back in trip.

  1. FAST MOON (IRE)
  2. TYPICAL MAN
  3. DEPUTY (IRE)
