Confirmed earlier promise when landing maiden over this trip at Chelmsford in October. Shade disappointing on return/handicap bow at Newmarket, but may have needed the run and it's still early days.

Placed both outings at 2 yrs and shrugged off disappointing reappearance when third in first-time blinkers at Lingfield (1¼m, AW). Still, more needed now handicapping and Crowley prefers Moktasaab.

Plenty of promise in a couple of appearances as a 2-y-o and chased home subsequent Listed winner/Derby ninth John Leeper on return at Newcastle (10.2f). Needs considering off a fair opening mark.

Back on the right track under more positive tactics at Nottingham (10.2f, heavy), losing out only in the shadow of the post. Placed both starts here as a 2-y-o and couldn't rule out.

Maintained theme of race-by-race progress when making it third time lucky in a Chelmsford maiden (1¼m). Likely she has more to offer now that her attention is switched to handicaps.

Back-to-back winner in April, including on turf at Redcar over this trip. Slower ground possible excuse for both subsequent defeats, but he looks vulnerable off this mark in any case.

Has shown plenty of ability in 3 starts on the AW at up to 1m, best work at the finish on each occasion. A sizeable slice of improvement could be on the way now upped in trip for this handicap debut.

Notched second win on the AW when taking a 1¼m Lingfield handicap last month. However, failed to land a real blow off this mark next time and questions to answer back on turf.

Forecasts

Moktasaab (6/4), Nell Quickly (9/2), Top Brass (5/1), Secret Box (8/1), Encounter Order (10/1), Greystoke (11/1), Forever Forward (14/1), Night Of Dreams (16/1), Aggagio (25/1), Arthur's Angel (28/1), Ebnzaidoon (33/1)

15:55 Sandown - 11 June 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

The most interesting of these by some way is SECRET BOX, who has shown plenty in his qualifying runs and a jolt of improvement is anticipated now handicapping over a longer trip. It will certainly look significant if the market speaks in his favour. Fellow handicap debutant Moktasaab is feared most, though cases can also be made for Forever Forward, Nell Quickly and Top Brass.

  1. SECRET BOX
  2. MOKTASAAB
  3. FOREVER FORWARD (IRE)
