Cashed in on a reduced mark when scoring on return over 1½m at Leicester in April. However, not quite in the same form on both starts subsequently.

Scored at Chelmsford in January and bounced back to somewhere near that sort of form to win at Carlisle a fortnight ago, aided by being allowed an uncontested lead. Worth taking on given his profile.

Proved better than ever as he gained a fourth win of the year at Lingfield (12f, AW, 16/1) back in December, outbattling the runner-up in a tight finish. Respected on return up a couple of pounds.

Lightly-raced and showed some improvement when winning 6-runner handicap at Brighton (11.9f, good to soft) 18 days ago, keeping on well despite carrying head awkwardly. More to come back up in trip.

Useful stayer at his best and has returned in good form. However, he made little impression in the mud at Haydock just under 3 weeks ago and can get back on track here.

Tough to rule any of these out but preference is for David Simcock's ISPAHAN, who got off the mark dropped into a 0-80 at Brighton last month and should have more to offer back at this trip. Speedo Boy's best efforts have come away from soft/heavy ground so he's taken to chase the selection home after his disappointing effort at Haydock, ahead of Amazing Red.
