Held on gamely to make second start a winning one at Nottingham (1m, good to firm) in April and progressed again when second to a promising sort over this trip at Lingfield since. Handicap debut.

Looked pretty useful at 2, including a 1m York novice win. Little went right on his 1m Ascot handicap debut/reappearance but he was sent off favourite so a lot better was presumably expected.

Left first 2 efforts well behind when scoring decisively on 1m Kempton handicap bow in December and that form was boosted by third/fourth winning next time. Been gelded. Could be plenty more to come.

Dual winner for Jean-Claude Rouget in France, leaving that stable after easily landing a claimer last month. Suspicion he'll need some improvement if he's to strike on British debut.

Got off the mark in 1m, Pontefract handicap on reappearance in April. Proved himself at 1¼m when second of 5 at Bath 2 weeks later and soft ground provides an excuse for latest below-par run.

Won Ripon nursery over 1m last summer. Off 8 months/gelded, made quite an encouraging return when close fifth on 1¼m Newcastle reappearance 15 days ago. Remains open to improvement.

Forecasts

Sir Rumi (15/8), King Of Tsavo (2/1), Innse Gall (5/1), Dubawi Sands (5/1), Skycutter (7/1), Orgetorix (15/2), Commonsensical (17/2), Aggagio (40/1)

15:45 Haydock - 9 June 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

KING OF TSAVO went up 10 lb for his Kempton win in December but that's fully justified given the way that form worked out and he appeals as one who could have plenty more to offer at 3. Sir Rumi advanced his form again when second to a smart prospect at Lingfield last time and looks next best ahead of Dubawi Sands, who should find this a bit easier than the London Gold Cup last time.

  1. KING OF TSAVO
  2. SIR RUMI (IRE)
  3. DUBAWI SANDS
