Brother to smart winner up to 1m Hawkesbury and overcame both inexperience and a wide trip to make a winning debut in Salisbury novice last month. Should progress but will do well to defy a penalty.

Half-brother to Enable and looks to have plenty of ability himself, beaten only by a smart sort at Ascot on sole 2-y-o run before bumping into an exciting prospect at Newbury on return. One to beat.

15:20 Newmarket - 14 May 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This looks a strong novice on paper, headed by Enable's half-brother DERAB, who was beaten only by subsequent Craven runner-up La Barrosa in a maiden at Ascot before bumping into exciting-filly Snow Lantern in a similar event at Newbury on return. Southern Voyage and Fireworks both showed plenty when placed in strong maidens over C&D and Newcastle respectively so need considering, too.

  1. DERAB
  2. SOUTHERN VOYAGE (FR)
  3. FIREWORKS (FR)
