Just modest form in bumpers and ran to just a similar level when second on Newcastle hurdle debut in November. Pulled up Musselburgh the following month. Freshened up since.

Fairly useful winner on the Flat for Ed Walker. Promising start over hurdles when second to useful prospect at Catterick in January. Unable to reproduce that twice since but still much respected here.

Improved on Irish bumper form when making winning start for Dan Skelton on AW at Lingfield in February. Weakened tamely (reportedly bled) when pulled up on hurdle debut since. Still early days.

Forecasts

Tonyx (4/6), Juniper (11/8), Whispering Gypsy (7/2), La Mystere (4/1), Cailin Dearg (14/1), Posh Spice (40/1), Grenadine Save (50/1), Red Opium (200/1)

15:05 Sedgefield - 9 April 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

JUNIPER had an excuse last time and is the one to beat here if recapturing the form she showed when second to a subsequent winner at Huntingdon prior to that. Tonyx looks the main threat, although Dan Skelton's Whispering Gypsy is surely better than she showed at Catterick.

  1. JUNIPER
  2. TONYX
  3. WHISPERING GYPSY (IRE)
