Confirmed debut promise when bolting up at Beverley (7.5f) in September. Ran poorly on softer ground than previously in listed race at Pontefract next time, but remains with potential.

Had a productive 2020, winning at Lingfield and Salisbury and looked unlucky not to complete hat-trick when short-head second of 7 on nursery bow at Kempton final outing. Can do better still.

Wootton Bassett colt didn't need to improve on his placed efforts at Doncaster and Newcastle to open his account in 7.4f maiden at Deauville in December. Gelded after and opening mark looks fair

Showed much improved form to get off the mark in 4-runner novice at Yarmouth (1m) in September, drawing clear under 2f out and ridden out. He's got the physique/pedigree to do better again this year.

Fairly useful performer at 2 yrs, well backed when resuming winning ways in 8-runner nursery at Doncaster (1m) in October. A big, workmanlike colt, he has the scope to train on well this year.

Made the most of his experience to get off the mark in 4-runner maiden here (7.2f) in June, unchallenged. Into handicaps now and could have more to offer given his useful pedigree.

Improved to break his duck at the third attempt in 6f maiden at Pontefract in September, suited by how the way the race developed. Subsequently gelded and upped in trip on return/handicap debut.

Forecasts

Colonel Faulkner (9/4), Forest Falcon (10/3), Heights Of Abraham (4/1), Naamoos (11/2), Tornadic (8/1), Strike Red (14/1), Ventura Mutiny (20/1)

14:25 Musselburgh - 3 April 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

FOREST FALCON was left with little to beat at Yarmouth on his final outing in September, but he clocked a fairly useful time in doing so and has the physique/pedigree to go on progressing this year. Colonel Faulkner's Deauville win has worked out relatively well and his opening mark looks fair on that evidence, while Tornadic is a likeable type who can do better still.

  1. FOREST FALCON (IRE)
  2. COLONEL FAULKNER (IRE)
  3. TORNADIC
