Didn't really progress after 1m York win last July but he's back to only 2 lb above that successful mark and his trainer has had a win and 2 seconds in this since 2015. Had wind op. Not discounted.

Very much on the up last summer, winning 7f handicaps at Ascot and Newbury. Underperformed when stepped up to 1m in Balmoral at Ascot on final start but remains one likely to do well in top handicaps.

Lots of good efforts in big handicaps, including placed in Spring Mile and this race in 2018/19. Operated a little below his best for most of last season but his mark has edged back down as a result.

Notched three wins from only four starts last year, with the third success coming in a hot 3-y-o 7f handicap at the Leger meeting here. Up 8 lb but surely has more to come for top yard. Big player.

Had a very productive 2020, including 7f/1m handicap wins at York. Successful on reappearance last year so capable when fresh and each-way claims.

Smart miler in France for Andre Fabre in 2019 but not seen since. Feasibly treated on those efforts but watching brief has to be the percentage call given the length of his lay-off.

Steadily progressive without winning in 2020 (good second in 7f course handicap final start) and got his head back in front on last month's Lingfield return. 5 lb penalty. One to consider.

Smart form in 2019 and step back in right direction when fifth in C&D handicap in September. Also creditable sixth of 18 in Balmoral at Ascot final start. First-time cheekpieces replace visor.

Ready winner on 7f handicap debut/reappearance last June and back on the up with 1m Haydock win in September. Good record fresh and type to do better again in 2021.

French Listed winner on heavy in November 2019. Didn't fire at pattern level last summer but has been cut some slack by the handicapper as a result. Any rain in his favour.

Disappointed behind Haqeeqy in 7f handicap here on final 3-y-o run but that's the only blip of his career, improving again to win at Meydan (9f) on return 6 weeks ago. Yard won this twice since 2016.

Shaped up quite well in some strong races before producing a career best when back to winning ways in 20-runner 1m York handicap in October. Gone well when fresh before.

In fine form with pair of 1m turf wins at end of last summer. His 1¼ lengths sixth to Born To Be Alive in Lincoln Trial suggests he's also returned in good fettle but others looks better treated.

15:10 Doncaster - 27 March 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Having run out the cosy winner of a hot 7f 3-y-o race at last year's Leger meeting, HAQEEQY appeals as the type to make his mark in top-end handicaps this term so he gets the nod with a talented apprentice taking 7 lb off. Charlie Appleby has a very good recent record in this so Eastern World rates a big danger after his Meydan win. River Nymph and, at bigger odds, Orbaan are also shortlisted.

  1. HAQEEQY (IRE)
  2. EASTERN WORLD (IRE)
  3. RIVER NYMPH
