Fair winning stayer on the Flat and he made a promising start over hurdles, placed twice here this winter. Reportedly lame when disappointing at Kelso and this a pretty quick turnaround.

Victory number 2 at this venue when landing a 13-runner handicap last month. Up 8 lb but that race worked out quite well.

Took advantage of waywardness of the favourite when opening account at Sedgefield in November. Unable to match that form twice since. One of 3 for yard. Hood left off now handicapping.

Flat winner who had little difficulty making winning start over hurdles at Doncaster in December. Limitations exposed in better company twice since but she could easily get back on track in handicaps.

Dual Flat winner who was well prepared following 4 months off to open his hurdles account at Kelso 3 weeks ago (Feldspar and Le Magnifique both disappointing in that race). Opening mark fair.

Fair maiden at up to 1m on Flat but proved stamina for hurdling when making successful start at Sedgefield in September. Has proved vulnerable under a penalty since and opening mark tough on balance.

Fairly useful maiden on the Flat who jumped better than previously over hurdles when runner-up to Magna Moralia at Kelso 3 weeks ago. Chance he can reverse placings on these terms.

Fair maiden on the level. Stamina looks an issue over hurdles, but he has a bigger performance in him if he can settle down.

Forecasts

Magna Moralia (11/4), Breguet Boy (7/2), En Couleur (4/1), Caldwell (7/1), Progressive (8/1), Le Magnifique (10/1), Feldspar (16/1), Monash (18/1), Genever Dragon (50/1)

14:30 Musselburgh - 26 March 2021 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

CALDWELL has 5 lengths to find with Magna Moralia on their clash at Kelso but is 8 lb better off this time and has looked like a work in progress so far, so he may well be up to the task. 3 of the others also ran in that race, but Breguet Boy brings a different formline to the table with his course win last month working out quite well and he commands respect.

  1. CALDWELL
  2. MAGNA MORALIA (IRE)
  3. BREGUET BOY (IRE)
