Fairly useful form to land 18f Chepstow novice but only fair fifth in Cheltenham Grade 2 22 days ago. This is far less exacting so will prove hard to beat for yard that has fine record in this race.

€43,000 3-y-o, Diamond Boy gelding. Half-brother to 2 winners, including fairly useful French hurdler Sevros. In excellent hands and not without interest on breeding so newcomer is worth considering.

€17,000 3-y-o, Sageburg gelding. Half-brother to 3 winners, notably useful duo Doctor Duffy and Flash The Steel. Appeals on paper so debutant is not totally dismissed. Market can guide.

Fair bumper form in 2016/17. Much better effort over hurdles on belated return when never-dangerous fourth in 20f Plumpton novice 19 days ago. Needs lot more still if he's to trouble the favourite.

Forecasts

Grand Mogul (2/11), Golden Boy Grey (11/2), Mickyh (16/1), Pride Of Pemberley (28/1)

12:40 Sandown - 5 December 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

GRAND MOGUL was found wanting when fifth in a Cheltenham Grade 2 last month but had previously scored in good style at Chepstow and looks to have been found a great opportunity to get back to winning ways in a race Nicky Henderson has an outstanding record in. Gary Moore's newcomer Golden Boy Grey makes appeal on paper so could be the one to chase him home.

  1. GRAND MOGUL (IRE)
  2. GOLDEN BOY GREY (FR)
  3. MICKYH (IRE)
