Fairly useful winner at 14f on Flat but expensive to follow over hurdles. Possibly needed the run on first outing since leaving Joseph O'Brien after 3 months off at Wincanton last month.

Winner of 2m bumper at Ffos Las in June 2019. Some promise when third on hurdling debut last year but hasn't progressed in both starts since, including when third on return at Uttoxeter in July.

Smart handicapper at best and confirmed he retains plenty of ability when runner-up at Uttoxeter in July. However, underlined why he's such a frustrating sort nowadays when well beaten since.

Fair maiden on Flat (stays 9.5f) and showed ability in 3 runs over hurdles last season. Not seen to best effect when third on handicap debut at Kempton 17 days ago and must be taken seriously here.

Was bang there when falling at the last at Kempton (16f) on debut for new yard last season and showed benefit of reappearance when fourth at Plumpton earlier this month. Merits consideration.

Opened his account in 2m Uttoxeter handicap in October but failed to back it up the last twice, only sixth of 11 in handicap hurdle at Exeter (16.8f, good to soft, 12/1) 15 days ago. Others preferred.

Improved when landing 2m mares' handicaps at Uttoxeter and Warwick last season. However, below par in a trio of outings this season but the handicapper continues to relinquish his grip.

Just modest form, at best, thus far over hurdles, latest when third of 8 in handicap hurdle at Hereford (16.2f, good to soft) 24 days ago. In good hands and may yet do better.

Fair 12f Flat winner but only poor form in a trio of starts over hurdles this autumn and is one to keep an eye on in the market on handicap debut.

Forecasts

First Quest (4/1), John Constable (5/1), Peckinpah (5/1), The Garrison (11/2), Lex Eleven (6/1), High Change (7/1), Pasley (10/1), Sid Hoodie (12/1), Temur Khan (33/1)

13:41 Taunton - 26 November 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

PECKINPAH ran well on the balance of his juvenile form when third on his handicap debut at Kempton earlier this month, losing his place when hampered on the home turn. With his mark easing a touch, he looks sure to go close here granted a better trip. First Quest showed the benefit of his reappearance at Plumpton so rates as the main threat, ahead of the frustrating John Constable.
