Back to winning ways at Uttoxeter in August and followed that with a good third at Fontwell. Good run of form came to a halt last time, though, and probably a shade too high in the weights for now.

Winner of Market Rasen maiden hurdle on second start for Paul Nicholls in February. However, didn't find much at the business end at Uttoxeter next time, and more needed on debut for another new yard.

Much improved when runner-up in 2m Hexham maiden hurdle on return in September. Again found just one too good here (16.8f, good) last month and he's likely to relish this stiffer test.

Winner of first 2 starts last season and promising start to present campaign when chasing home a race-fit rival at Carlisle (2½m, good). 1 lb rise fair and this 11-y-o should have a part to play.

Limitations seemingly exposed after landing maiden hurdle success here (17f) last December, and the percentage call is to look elsewhere.

Has improved since joining this yard, runner-up in Newcastle mares' novice in March and off the mark on return/handicap debut at Hexham (20.1f, good to soft) last month. Should have more to offer.

Drawn a blank since a pair of novice hurdle wins in 2017, but solid effort back from a break when chasing home an improver over C&D in August. Each-way shout.

Made winning hurdling debut at Catterick last December, but beaten a fair way on handicap bow in this sphere on C&D return last month (fit from the Flat).

Ayr maiden hurdle winner in November 2018, but offered little in 3 starts last season. Best watched on debut for new yard.

Forecasts

Cousin Oscar (7/2), Trapper Peak (7/2), Small Present (4/1), Vancouver (4/1), Golden Robin (9/2), Malangen (14/1), Coup De Gold (18/1), Seaborough (22/1), Archie Brown (40/1), Bobbie The Dazzler (150/1)

13:15 Sedgefield - 5 November 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Sue Smith holds a strong hand here, fielding SMALL PRESENT and Golden Robin, both of whom are open to improvement. There's little to choose between them and marginal preference is for Small Present, who makes his handicap debut off a fair-looking mark and promises to be well suited by this step up in trip. Cousin Oscar and the veteran Trapper Peak can scrap it out for minor honours.

  1. SMALL PRESENT (IRE)
  2. GOLDEN ROBIN (IRE)
  3. COUSIN OSCAR (IRE)
