€55,000 purchase who showed ability in a bumper on sole start last season and when third on return/hurdles debut at Uttoxeter (15.8f). Open to improvement.

Successful between the flags at the third time of asking last year, but recent Rules debut in 2¾m maiden hurdle here wasn't particularly encouraging.

Stepped up on debut effort when fourth in a 10-runner bumper here in March. Should make his mark in this sphere, but others have more pressing claims on this occasion.

Winner of a Musselburgh bumper in January (final start for Nicky Richards), but offered little in 3 starts for present connections. Now tried in a tongue strap.

Failed to measure up to market expectations when fifth in a Fontwell bumper on debut in September. However, he couldn't be in better hands and is one to consider now switched to hurdles.

Showed ability on debut in a Wincanton bumper in January, but took a backward step at Huntingdon next time. Will need to leave that form well behind on this hurdles bow.

Sent off at big prices and pulled up both starts to date.

Showed previous little in 3 starts over hurdles last season, and hopes pinned on subsequent wind operation having a dramatic effect.

Mere glimmers of ability in 2 starts over hurdles, and sizeable step forward needed now equipped with a hood.

Judged on what he's shown in a couple of bumpers, this 4-y-o is hard to warm to now switched to hurdles, for all that he represents a respected yard.

Brother to bumper winner/useful hurdler Sevarano (19f-21f winner), but made a low-key start to his career in a Hereford maiden hurdle 16 days ago.

Signs of ability in bumpers last season and shaped as though he'd be better for the run when sixth of 10 on return/hurdles debut at Bangor. Should do better in time.

Got the better of subsequent winner Marada when opening her account in 2m mares' novice at Warwick at the beginning of the month. Very much the one to beat.

Galice Macalo (11/8), Above Suspicion (9/4), Galan Des Planches (7/2), Eaton Collina (11/1), White Walker (18/1), George Of Naunton (28/1), Kaproyale (28/1), Cape Robin (33/1), Elios D'Or (50/1), The Gold Bug (50/1), Thatsentertainment (80/1), Go On Chez (200/1), Jewelinthename (200/1)

14:36 Stratford - 29 October 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This should go to the filly GALICE MACALO, who displayed a willing attitude when narrowly outpointing a next-time-out winner on return at Warwick. Galan Des Planches failed to justify favouritism in a bumper on his introduction last month, but he's surely capable of better and is next on the list ahead of Above Suspicion.

  1. GALICE MACALO (FR)
  2. GALAN DES PLANCHES (FR)
  3. ABOVE SUSPICION (IRE)
