It would be no surprise to see BAVARDAGES resume winning ways, assuming he responds positively to the first-time blinkers. Mark Johnston's charge is just 2 lb higher than for his success in a higher grade handicap in August and there have been excuses for his subsequent reverses. Perfect Swiss is 2-4 on the all-weather and he needs considering, while La Rav and Iris Bud also merit respect.
