Nearly landed a valuable pot in a handicap at the Festival, finishing well clear of the rest when finding only another well-backed rival too strong. Retains novice status and been mopping up of late.

Has improved out of all recognition since undergoing a breathing operation, looking the likely winner when falling at Kempton in March and progressed by the run to rack up a 4-race winning sequence.

Useful effort when doubling career tally over hurdles in a novice at Exeter in 2019. Placed in a couple of competitive 3m handicaps last term and this Irish point winner should flourish over fences.

Three wins from 5 in what was a productive novice season over hurdles, his strength at the finish a feature of last 2 victories, including a Grade 2 at Warwick. All over a chaser on physique.

14:25 Cheltenham - 23 October 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

It is to MOSSY FEN's credit that he achieved a useful level over hurdles last season given his build and profile screams chasing, and with the return to this trip sure to suit, he is marginally preferred to Galvin. Gordon Elliott's charge is the most talented of the sextet but his stamina for 3m isn't assured.

  1. MOSSY FEN (IRE)
  2. GALVIN (IRE)
  3. SOLDIER OF LOVE
