Thrice-raced maiden. 7/1, fifth of 10 in nursery at Ripon (8f, good to firm) 26 days ago. Shaped better than the bare result and, back down in trip off a 2 lb lower mark here, he's one to consider.
Lightly-raced maiden. Fourth of 6 in nursery (13/2) at Lingfield (7.6f, good to firm) 18 days ago. Can give a good account without posing serious threat to principals.
Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 10 in maiden (125/1) at Newbury (7f, good to soft) 16 days ago. Cheekpieces on 1st time for this nursery debut and needs to raise his game.
Lightly-raced maiden. 15/2, very good second of 13 in nursery at this C&D 20 days ago, very slowly away. Solid each-way chance off the same mark.

Stall 11 isn't ideal but GOLDEN CLAIM is otherwise appealing. Indeed, he fared better than his finishing position would suggest at Ripon and an improved display may be on the cards back at 7f. High Applause needs to raise his game but it's entirely possible that he'll do just that now switched to a nursery. He is next best ahead of Spirit of Rowdown.
