Promise first 2 runs and took big step forward when wide-margin winner of Catterick novice (12f) 11 days ago. Not stoutly bred but shapes as though he'll stay further and on a good mark under penalty.

Has had plenty of racing but still seems to be getting better, runner-up for the fourth time this year at Yarmouth (14f) last time, conceding first run and shaping best at the weights. 2m should suit.

Down the field in 3 12f events and opening mark looks plenty high enough.

Holding her form well this season and gained reward when opening account at Salisbury under this rider last time. Vulnerable to improvers but stamina is at least assured.

Strong in betting and showed improved form to get off mark in handicap at Catterick (12f). Failed to land odds under a penalty since but that was still a creditable run. 4 lb higher now. Up in trip.

Looks averagely treated on the evidence of his last 3 runs and headgear needs to bring out the required improvement.

Thrice-raced maiden. Sixth of 11 in maiden at Chepstow (good to firm, 125/1) 42 days ago, making some headway 3f out without threatening. Type to do better now handicapping/up in trip.

Modest form and has failed to improve in handicaps last 2 starts, looking slow. Step up in trip should suit but others still preferred.

Forecasts

Noonday Gun (7/4), Tigerten (4/1), Single (4/1), Call My Bluff (13/2), Relativity (7/1), Sophar Sogood (11/1), Cinnabar (12/1), Indigo Times (12/1), Donald Llewellyn (16/1), Theocrat (40/1), Beat The Heat (50/1)

15:00 Goodwood - 28 August 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

NOONDAY GUN is due to race off a 4 lb higher mark after his impressive success at Catterick so looks well-in under a penalty on handicap bow. This is his first attempt beyond 12f but he shapes as though he'll stay further despite what his pedigree might suggest. Sophar Sogood shaped best when runner-up at Yarmouth, running on as if this trip will suit, so is feared most ahead of Relativity.
