PROTECTED GUEST admittedly comes with risks attached, but he wasn't beaten at all far when ninth in a strong 1½m Ascot handicap recently and may be worth chancing back down in trip here off a 2 lb lower mark. El Ghazwani's current mark looks tough, while Gold Town's lengthy absence is a worry and Homespin has a fair bit to prove. As such, Infrastructure and Gifts of Gold rate the main dangers.
