Dual hurdles winner for David Dennis who posted good first effort for new yard after 8 months when second of 9 in handicap here (24f, good) 9 days ago. This is easier so holds good claims.

Proving rather disappointing over hurdles and fared little better on chase debut at Cartmel last month. Cheekpieces back on with bit to prove.

33/1 after 17 months off but good second of 12 in handicap chase at Newton Abbot (21f, good) 24 days ago. Very low mileage so not ruled out if able to back that effort up.

Unreliable type but posted good third of 9 in handicap chase at Southwell (24.3f, good, 5/1) 29 days ago. Others still appeal more though.

Sprung a surprise when successful over fences at Worcester (2m) last June but not in anything like the same form all 5 starts since, including in blinkers on his return. Easy to look elsewhere.

Schnabel (13/8), Dollar And A Dream (4/1), Hidden Glen (9/2), The Late Legend (11/2), Running Wolf (9/1), Dido (10/1), Colby (11/1), Sandford Castle (14/1), Paddling (40/1), Hillview Lad (50/1)

17:10 Uttoxeter - 17 August 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SCHNABEL made an excellent start to life with his new yard when runner-up here last week and is fancied to go one better in this less demanding contest. Hidden Glen is feared most back over fences for the in-form Dr Richard Newland stable, while the very lightly-raced Dido can have a say too if able to back up his good Newton Abbot effort.

  1. SCHNABEL (IRE)
  2. HIDDEN GLEN (IRE)
  3. DIDO
