Useful on the Flat and cannot fault the start he's made to his hurdles career, 2-2 to date, inclding a win over 2m here last time. May improve for step up in trip (stays 2m on Flat) but double penalty ensures it's not a gimme.
Bumper winner on only start for this yard, that coming at Sedgefield back in 2018, not seen since. Gets a good chunk of weight from Petrastar and connections have been patient, suggesting there's still something more to be won with him.

Sent off 500-1 for a novice hurdle at Southwell last month and was readily seen off; tongue-tie tried today needs to make a massive difference.

Form in point-to-points modest, to say the least, and was sent off 150-1 for a Cartmel novice hurdle last month, showing little. No realistic chance here.

String of pulled-up efforts in point-to-points and hasn't raced since March 2019; needs snookers on hurdles debut today.

Fourth in a Navan bumper in 2018, only seen once since then when pulling up in a Fairyhouse novice hurdle last November. First start for new yard this afternoon.

Beaten a total of 230 lengths in two novice hurdles this season and expect that total to increase somewhat after today. No realistic chance on the evidence seen so far.

Last of 11, beaten 161 lengths in a Kelso bumper over a year ago, not seen since; claims for winning this are not exactly crystal clear.

Some promise in three novice/maiden hurdles last year but disappointing on handicap debut at Bangor in February and reverts back to novice company here; clearly beatable.

Cost £110,000 at Cheltenham Sales back in Februay 2019, and despite only going off 7-2 for Ayr bumper debut in January, only beat one home and was well held; had a wind operation and you'd hope he'd be better than that, given price tag.

Rated in the 80's on the Flat back in 2017 for Mark Johnston but clearly not the easiest to train, with big gaps on his CV since then. Not shown much in two hurdles starts and needs this for a mark, where he may be more interesting.

Well held in three bumpers for Nick Alexander and then didn't complete in four point-to-points before joining a third yard already today; hard to see where the necessary improvement is coming from.
13
Horse silk
150/1
Readily held in three point-to-points and no show in two novice hurdles, sent off big prices on both occasions, so little was expected; looks set for more of the same here.

Looked like she had a bright future ahead of her when successful in a bumper here last August but poor effort on only hurdles start in March, jumping poorly; surely capable of better if she sorts her hurdling technique out.

Forecasts

Petrastar (5/6), C'Est Le Bonheur (2/1), Mannochmore (11/1), Tartan Bute (11/1), Offtheshoulder (11/1), Allthatglistens (20/1), Dionysis (40/1), Costly Dream (50/1), African Glory (150/1), Accost (150/1), Connerys Hill (200/1), Diamond Road (200/1), Flash Moriviere (200/1), Giamas (250/1)

16:30 Perth - 11 August 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

Not many of these hold a chance on what we've seen so far. PETRASTAR is unbeaten in two starts and holds a fitness advantage over his likely main rival, C'est Le Bonheur, so despite having to hump a big penalty for his two wins, might be able to make it three. C'est Le Bonheur looks sure to appreciate a trip like this after winning a bumper back in 2018 but the fact he's not been seen since then suggests he's had issues, and might have to settle for second here. Offtheshoulder must be capable of better than he showed on his debut and can fight out third with Allthatglistens, who needs to jump better than she did on her hurdles debut.
  1. Petrastar
  2. C'Est Le Bonheur
  3. Offtheshoulder
