Confirmed the promise of his hurdling debut when battling on to see off some persistent challengers over C&D last time. Deserves extra credit considering he was in the firing line all the way, looks a useful prospect, ought to defy his penalty.

Modest sort on the Flat he stays 10f and generally performs in a consistent manner although he does come into his hurdling debut off a below-par run. Probably best watched on his hurdling debut up against a couple of useful sorts.

Only modest on the Flat (2-23) when with Mick Appleby he ran to similar level in a first-time hood on hurdles/stable debut at Marker Rasen (16.6f). Finished third but well held would need to show a lot more to win this.
Fair on the Flat he's yet to produce a performance of that level over hurdles with his two starts over timber so far being disappointing. Needs this run for a mark, will be of more interest in low-grade handicaps in the future.

Finished well held in three Irish maiden hurdles in the autumn of last year over 2m when with Michael Butler beating very few home. Now with a new yard but can really only be watched on the evidence unless the market tells a different story.

Improved to get off the mark at the fourth attempt in bumpers when well supported and suited by the test of stamina that race offered. Gave himself no chance on hurdles debut jumping poorly, this should tell us more about his hurdling aspirations.

Had some useful form on the Flat for Richard Hanon as a 3yo but hasn't managed to maintain that progress for this yard. Looks to have gone the wrong way in terms of attitude, switch to hurdles not sure to have a positive effect on him.

Fair on the Flat in France, given a considerate introduction to hurdling after an AW debut for this yard over 11f. Failed to settle fully on his first hurdles start over C&D, not at all given a hard time, sure fire improver in novice hurdles.

Only won a maiden on the Flat but showed some fair form in handicaps on occasions. His initial performance over hurdles was very moderate, made a series of novicey mistakes, finishing well beaten, improvement needed.

Modest sort on the Flat but shown nothing in this sphere either side of a couple of below-par performances on the level of late. Saddle slipped when pulled up last time and overall she doesn't convince in this sphere.

Flat winner over 12f who had wind surgery prior to running over hurdles, finished well held on both occasions so far but didn't look devoid of ability. Needs this run for a mark and may well be one to blossom in handicaps.

This doesn’t look a particularly deep event and connections appear to have found a good opportunity for C&D winner CAPTAIN TOM CAT to follow up that win having impressed when beating a subsequent winner last time. French maiden Flat winner Light In The Sky was given a considerate introduction over hurdles last time over C&D and should improve for that experience and looks the main danger. One or two will be worth watching for handicaps in the future amongst them Joie De Vivre and Employer. Wbee a bumper winner in the past ought to figure but will need to jump better than he did on his hurdles debut.
  1. Captain Tom Cat
  2. Light In The Sky
  3. Joie De Vivre
