Hard to win with sort although he has now worked his way back down to his last winning mark. Ran a creditable race at Southwell last time over 4f shorter when second to Dogon, ought to run his race, generally finds one too good.

Useful hurdler who made a fair start to his chasing career at Stratford (20.9f) last time despite being beaten 30L (ridden more patiently than usual). Wouldn't want much further than this trip, nicely handicapped on his hurdles form.

Showed some promise on her chasing debut at Market Rasen (21.4f) despite not reproducing the level she was capable of over hurdles (three-time winner). Worth another try in this sphere, has won off this mark over hurdles, better for experience.

Not the most genuine of performers (quirky sort) who did appear to have turned over a new leaf for a period in 2018when he won three races. Ran one of his lesser races last time and still resides above his last winning mark, others would appeal more.

Lightly-raced these days, hard to assess returning from five-months off and a wind op returned to fences last time at Southwell (20.4f). Soon beaten after an early mistake, cut some slack in the handicap, hard to find the evidence to support.

Successful straight away over fences winning on debut at Plumpton (19.8f) in novice company with mainly creditable efforts afterwards. Returns from a fair absence, still looks on a decent mark, not ruled out if fitness isn't an issue.

10/3
C&D winner on his debut for this yard having been successful in point-to-points prior to that (took advantage of much-reduced mark on return). Posted some fair efforts subsequently, still looks to be on a decent mark despite an absence.

Forecasts

Yccs Portocervo (3/1), Beni Light (10/3), Henrietta Bell (5/1), Poker School (5/1), Mine's A Pint (6/1), Aeglos (10/1), Elkstone (12/1), Murray Mount (12/1)

17:00 Uttoxeter - 8 August 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

With the hard to win with Poker School likely to be near the head of the market it could create an opportunity for something at a bigger price making the C&D winner BENI LIGHT of interest. He lacks a recent run but that C&D win came off a 116 day break last year when returning from the point-to-point sphere, he looks a value proposition. YCCS Portocervo ran a fair race on his chasing debut despite being beaten a fair way and he should build on that outing. Mine’s A Pint and Henrietta Bell also deserve to be considered in a competitive heat.
  1. Beni Light
  2. Yccs Portocervo
  3. Poker School
