Useful AW winner, but stretched modest turf record to 1-23 when only fifth behind Mancini at Sandown last time. Fairly treated, but remains opposable as a rule on this surface.

Can look a difficult ride, as when staying on all too late at Chepstow last time, but he's won three of his last six races. Up another 5lb since latest start, however, and others better treated now.

Reliable mare as a rule, which counts for plenty and ran her best race since returning in June when 2L second of 5 to Stonific at Beverley last time. That was a weak enough race, but the winner has scored again since, so her claims are clear.

Runner-up on return at Beverley and overcame trouble in running when winning at Musselburgh last time by ½L from Kensington Art. Value for extra there, and remains of interest from a handicapping perspective.

Ended 2019 with a poor effort, and below best on her first two runs this year. Shaped better when 3¾L fourth of 9 to Stonific at Beverley last time, and would have a fair chance if building on that effort here.

Stepped up on return when beating Gold Arch at Chepstow on penultimate start, and fared better again when 1½L second of 11 to Space Walk at Haydock last time. Solid claims on that, and appears to be thriving still.

Has a patchy record, which tempers confidence, but on a good mark, and stepped up on earlier efforts when head second of 9 to Stonific at Beverley last time. Just failed to get up there, and can go well with a repeat.

Beaten ½L by Clearance at Musselburgh on penultimate start, and didn't need to improve when making all to score over 1¾m here last time. Not sure to get such an easy time up front now.

14:50 Ripon - 6 August 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

A competitive event with most of the field arriving in some sort of form, and the vote goes to BILLY NO MATES, who is unexposed at the trip, and proved his stamina when just failing at Beverley last time. Repetitio has been generally progressive under both codes in the past year, and deserves respect after a solid second at Haydock last time. Clearance has gone up 8lb for a narrow win over Kensington Art at Musselburgh, but he had a fair bit in hand, and should make a bold bid to defy the extra burden.
  1. Billy No Mates
  2. Repetitio
  3. Clearance
