Sent off at 100-1 on both starts. Finished last of nine at Southwell (1m4f; standard) in January when last seen and an impossible task on her hands giving 8lb away to some potentially decent fillies.

Up in trip but well-held on both starts over 1m. Neither of those races looked particularly strong. Looks one more for handicaps and can be opposed until entering that sphere.

Form of her fifth on debut at Newbury (1m2f; good) is working out well with the runner-up (Portrush) boosting the form and the winner (Gold Wand) going close in 'Listed' company last week. Doesn't look to be anything of that calibre in this contest.

Drop back to 1m2f looks the right move after she faded late in the day on debut over slightly further to finish fourth at Newbury (1m4f; good to firm). Wouldn't need to improve a great deal to win this so should be bang there.

40,000gns yearling by Sea The Stars. Out of an unraced half-sister to Group-placed 6f two-year-old winner. Must be respected on debut for yard firing on all cylinders over the last two weeks.

Beaten just over 10-length into fifth on debut at Doncaster (1m2f; good to firm). Ran above expectations though as she was sent off 250-1 and the winner is rated 87 so it wasn't a bad race either. Place claims.

Behind Midrarr on debut at Newbury (1m2f; good) but that rival had the benefit of experience on her side. Offered promise when sixth on that occasion making ground up from the rear of the field. Should improve plenty on AW debut.

Well-bred newcomer by Shamardal. Half-sister to five winners who all won on the AW including the yard's talented Group One winner Mustashry. Fair standard to aim at on debut but could be useful and market check is advised.

Significant step-up required on the basis of her debut at Chelmsford (1m; standard). Step up to 1m2f may yield more improvement out of her, but others have shown more and therefore make greater appeal.

16:00 Newcastle - 2 August 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

This is a decent looking finale full of potential improvers. Top of that list is GOLD RIBBON who is sure to be suited by the drop in trip after showing promise on debut until failing to see out the 1m4f trip. Midrarr and Progressive are closely matched on the form of their recent meeting. The former isn't certain to confirm the form given the latter now has experience under her belt. Flower Of Scotland is afforded major respect with the form of the race she finished fifth in on debut producing some nice types. Newcomers Oceans Meet and Rabaabah are also respected with the latter potentially above-average if her pedigree is anything to go by.
  1. Gold Ribbon
  2. Rabaabah
  3. Flower Of Scotland
