Showed some promise as a hurdler in novice/handicap events, would have needed his reappearance run over timber at Uttoxeter recently. Goes chasing for the first time but has the make/shape of one who will do well in this sphere.
Dual handicap hurdle winner last summer over just short of 3m before running a creditable second (again in a staying handicap hurdle) when last seen. Now tries his hand at chasing for a top stable off a mark he looked comfortable off over hurdles.
Dual handicap hurdle winner here over 2m4f and at Market Rasen over a shade further last spring. Lightly-raced since (only seen twice) and well beaten on each occasion, pulled up on sole previous chase start, others appeal more.
Chasing newcomer who appeared to relish this sort of trip over hurdles having won over 2m7f last summer at Uttoxeter, albeit off a much lower mark. Improved after that (finished runner-up), poor when last seen though (pulled up when favourite).
Shown some ability in bumpers/novice hurdles and may well have need the outing on his comeback run earlier in the month at Uttoxeter. Switches to fences for his handicap debut stepping back up in trip, faces some fair opposition.
Fell on debut in an Irish point-to-point before showing poor form on only bumper start. Modest performer over hurdles, showing his best form when last seen on handicap debut at Market Rasen, needs a stiffer test, gets that now switched to fences.
Brings a 0-16 career record into this first chasing effort having looked nothing more than modest in bumpers/hurdles. Undone by a bad blunder when last seen over hurdles, likely to need this and looks outclassed.
Taken well to fences, looking well suited by this trip when scoring over C&D recently (carries a 7lb penalty for that win). Scored with something in hand last time, only a 6yo, should have further progress in him from a still lowly mark, shortlisted.
Modest sort over hurdles/fences having not won since April 2017 and looks to be facing an uphill task here with fitness possibly an issue (off a significant break). Best watched unless the market suggests a more forward showing is possible.

Experience is often an important factor in this type of contest and GLENGAR scores highly on that factor having had both his chasing runs here winning easily over C&D last time in the manner of an improving type who is at the right end of the handicap and he’s taken to defy his penalty. This is a stiffer task than last time though with Jen’s Boy and Waitonit both coming from stables which are more than capable of producing a winner first-time out over fences, the duo having shown ability over hurdles. Oscar Maguire needs to bounce back but can’t be ruled out and Éclair Des Sablons looks as though he’ll enjoy this test more than he did the smaller obstacles.
