Broxi won well last time out and is sure to be popular given his C&D experience and the likable attitude shown. However, SMOOTH SPIRIT showed grim determination to get off the mark himself when he rallied to win a maiden auction at Wolverhampton at the start of this month. That proven ability to dig deep in a battle struck a chord and could be the decisive factor this time. Nastase was green on debut but still ran with promise once the penny dropped, while Simply Amazing can also figure now that he's got some experience to draw upon; this stiffer test of stamina can be expected to be more to his liking than the 6f at Chepstow on his respective debut.
