Reliable sort who ran a rare poor race at Beverley last month. Back to form when second of 8 to Apex King at Lingfield last time, and has claims for all she looks vulnerable to less exposed rivals.

First-time cheekpieces did the trick when winning at Musselburgh last September, and not discredited on final 3-y-o start. May hav needed the run on return at Ayr, and should be competitive, but no easy task against the younger generation.

Unbeaten last year for Richard Fahey, and looked in need of the step up in trip when a well-backed seventh of 20 over 6f here on her return. Failed to build on that at Newmarket (7f) last time, however, and has a little bit to prove all of a sudden.

Highly tried on final 2-y-o start after landing a novice at Chepstow. Better than she's shown in two starts this year (didn't stay last time), but needs to put it all together to defy a stiffish mark.

Promising second on only 2-y-o start at Newcastle, and built on that when 3½L third of 9 to Pure Beauty in a 7f maiden at Newmarket last month. Didn't need to improve to win at Haydock last time, but type to thrive in handicaps, and much respected.

Much improved from debut when 1¾L second of 12 to Angel Power in a 1m novice at Chelmsford last month, but below that form at Haydock last time, and her opening mark looks harsh on balance.

Gradual improvement as a juvenile, culminating with second place in an extended 1m maiden at Nottingham. Limited impact in a couple of handicaps so far, and needs a bit more help from the assessor.

Patchy form on turf last term, but has improved since the turn of the year, winning twice on AW at Lingfield. Creditable fourth in a 1m handicap at Kempton last time, but more needed returning to this surface.

Made good late ground on debut at Lingfield (1m) in December, and a host of winners have come out of that race. Not discredited after a break at Doncaster last month (easy to back), and could be on a lenient mark now handicapping.

Forecasts

Zezenia (7/4), Oti Ma Boati (7/2), Sheila (4/1), Festival Day (17/2), Too Shy Shy (9/1), Perfect Inch (16/1), Rainbow Jet (22/1), Gometra Ginty (28/1), Dancing Rave (33/1)

13:00 York - 26 July 2020 - Racecard - Horse Racing - Sporting Life

SHEILA was ostensibly disappointing on her return/turf debut at Doncaster, but she may have needed that, and the form of her Lingfield debut has been well advertised since. An opening mark of 69 looks lenient, and she's taken to strike at the first time of asking in handicap company. Zezenia is feared after a straightforward win in novice company at Haydock, with the reliable Dancing Rave should also be on the premises.
  1. Sheila
  2. Zezenia
  3. Dancing Rave
